Traumatic brain injury Travel

Covid Travels

We have not traveled since Covid.

Covid traveling is a little weird.

Our home airport, PDX has basically nothing open. No food, no restaurants and very limited places to buy snacks, we found one.

We land in Salt Lake City and everything is open at their airport and it was busier than PDX was. It was like a normal busy of PDX pre Covid.

An M I found in front of the house for Munch. However Brian and Taja said it was here when they got the house. But worked out since M is for Munch:)

It’s also interesting to see how some people don’t wear their masks properly. From what I got in Utah, masks aren’t required unless the establishment requires them. When I get home I really want to research their numbers versus ours and of course see the comparison in population.

Just an interesting experience. We are vaccinated and wore our masks. We flew here to drive back one of his brothers vehicles and camper. We didn’t even see them as they left before we got here with the movers.

Maybe this shows the difference in the State of Utah’s governor and Oregon’s. I’m curious to see the difference in cases but looking it up was too hard for me.

Either way it’s definitely different traveling, we just went to help our family move back and bonus is we can camp in front of our friends halfway home and hang in the back yard outside with them.

And our friends and girls made Chris a birthday brownie while in town. Thank you 💚

I am a TBI Survivor and woman who has been through a lot of good and bad. My goal by this blog is to share what I have learned and how life has happened for me and not to me. I have found purpose in it all and am here to share it. I am also sober and quitting drinking was the best choice for me. I will post about TBI, Brain Injury, life, travel, lessons learned and more. I am not a doctor or a nurse, I am a traumatic brain injury survivor who has lived 40 years of life and have an amazing mindset from it all. None of this is medical advice, that is what your doctor is for or 911 if you are having an true emergency and need help right away. I am here for community and to share all I have learned, you never know who it will help. Click on the white title of the blog post to read, just saying in case you might be confused like I am with all this 🤣

I love it when fully vaccinated people continue to follow safety protocols. I spent the past week with my dad and stepmom (all of us fully vaccinated) and we maintained our 6 ft distance. Here in MS we’re not under a statewide mask mandate. However, many of the mayors have decided to extend the mandate. Our mayor is one of them. I also think it would be interesting to see the numbers.

It’s important since we can still carry it and our friends little kids aren’t vaccinated so we will stay outside and 6ft away. To me it’s just out of respect and especially when traveling. I now have the peace that I am vaccinated but still want to be smart:)
