4 8 26

I was looking at my countdowns and we have been married for 4 years, 8 months and 26 days and we got married on 826 which then became my number for my email and motocross racing. The 4 is for 4 years ago as of Monday I survived my accident and TBI and DAI.

I can’t do numbers anymore but this I can do.

I’m writing this from Belize City on our last night, I’m alone at our last resort and fly out tomorrow. My husband and a few others at our resort tested positive for Covid. They are fine but have to stay at a hotel for those with Covid. Hopefully on Monday they test negative and can then come home Tuesday.

Until then the last part of our journey from San Pedro back to Belize City and to our new hotel the Seaside Chateau I am all on my own. This is the first time I have traveled completely alone In another country since TBI. It’s been sometimes challenging but it’s a great test to confirm that I can go to Bali Solo in October.

I am resting and relaxing. My husband is too in San Pedro at his hotel for Covid people. I tried to remind him that it’s a vacation from our vacation and lucky one who is with him just retired and the other has her laptop as does my husband so they can both work as needed. And he has them to keep him company at that hotel plus the guy from Denver who was also at our resort.

We have had a lot of adventure on this trip. By adventure some interesting times and great times. Nothing abnormal when going to another country like Belize. Day one when we arrived the power was out and we had a 3 hour ferry ride that should have been 1.5 hours but our ferry broke down! We definitely started with an adventure and are definitely wrapping the trip up with an adventure.

But I can’t wait to be home with my husband and see my son, parents and dogs 💚 We are all safe and healthy and everyone will get Covid at some point, I guess the world just wanted Danielle, Zach and Chris to have some down time. At least my husband is with two great people.

I am a TBI Survivor and woman who has been through a lot of good and bad. My goal by this blog is to share what I have learned and how life has happened for me and not to me. I have found purpose in it all and am here to share it. I am also sober and quitting drinking was the best choice for me. I will post about TBI, Brain Injury, life, travel, lessons learned and more. I am not a doctor or a nurse, I am a traumatic brain injury survivor who has lived 40 years of life and have an amazing mindset from it all. None of this is medical advice, that is what your doctor is for or 911 if you are having an true emergency and need help right away. I am here for community and to share all I have learned, you never know who it will help. Click on the white title of the blog post to read, just saying in case you might be confused like I am with all this 🤣

I’m fine and fly home today, my husband and 2 friends test again Monday and if negative can come home Tuesday, if not have to test again in 5 days. All 3 mild just like a head cold which we all had from Oregon but they must have picked up corona here or via travels cause another person at our lodge had it we weren’t with.
