Word of 2023: Nourish

I don’t set New Year Resolutions. I have goals I focus on all year. I also review my year at the end of each year. What worked? What didn’t work? What were my accomplishments? What were my struggles? My word for 2023 is Nourish. I’m not just talking about food. I will work on nourishing […]

Love my workout views

It’s Friday and my workout day, the view with the garage open was amazing with the sunrise, fog, birds chirping and owl 🦉 hooting. Can’t beat this view. And that’s our car which the dirtiness kills my husband but it comes with where we live, we got it when we moved up here in July. […]

Sticking to my schedule

I did not want to workout today. But I’m sticking to my MWF goal to truly see how it affects me in a month with my TBI. I did a great tread bootcamp, it was fun and kicked my ass and made me push and run faster than normal with some short intervals. I’m determined […]

A white Christmas 🎄

It’s a white Christmas and I got a personal record on my run this morning while looking at the snow. 3.6 years ago I ran 8-8.5 minute miles and when I first ran after my TBI was at 18 minute miles. Slowly getting there. As I always say hey I’m doing it and time really […]

Can’t beat this!

We are officially all moved in and own a new house. So grateful for my parents taking us up on this idea and building them an apartment above the shop and selling us their house. We absolutely love it here. Not to mention we wake up to snow now. Not a ton yet but hey […]

Survivors Guilt

https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/trailercast/id1308125648?i=1000499380782 I wanted to re share a podcast I was on about a year ago on 11/19/2020. I am sharing this as its fresh in my mind because I myself am about to listen to it again. Recently I found out an old friend, someone who was a big part of my life for many […]

Having a bad morning- move your body

Having a bad morning. Emotionally my mind is really messing with me and I am frustrated and realizing how bad so called “friends” suck. So I went for a walk. Moved my body. It sure solves a lot of feelings and frustrations.

Walking, running and making money 🤣

I ran/walked 2.6 miles total, 1.87 on the peloton app and then kept running and walking and picking up garbage on the side of our country road. Next time I will bring a garbage bag, the wind kept blowing stuff off my plate aka the hub I found. Turbo got some good exercise too. I […]

Like TBI, Life Is Best When You Are Able To Adapt

Like we learned with TBI, we have to be willing to adapt to our new life. This has so helped with Covid happening. I don’t drive, getting to the gym is not doable for me so we got a Peloton. But since Covid have acquired so much more and made our home garage gym work […]
